SCR have been invited to put on a display of drag cars at next years PPC In The Park taking place at Mallory Park Circuit on Saturday May 21st. Dave, Steve and Lee did this last year. Well as it doesn't clash with anything and its the week before Yanks (which subject to approval Supercharged Outlaws will be attending) this would be a great advertisement for Yanks, Supercharged Outlaws and SCR. We're also going to be taking the SCR Junior Dragster Hire Car as well as a few others.
Saturday 21st May PPC in the Park is at Mallory Park and the Junior Dragsters and Supercharged Outlaws along with Shakespeare County Raceway have been asked to attend so it promises to be a great day out for any self respecting car fan. Classed as one of the leading UK car shows, it is set to become an even greater show than last year as there is a bumper line-up of activities and attractions. This is a small sample of what was booked last year:
Kit car demonstrations tearing it up in the paddock
A Type 35B Bugatti is taking part in the vintage drifting displays
Dave Walker will be opening up the bonnet of his resurrected CCC fiesta and will be talking through its modifications
There will be a record breaking attempt - a queue of Q plate cars – bring yours along to join in
A double-ended car is going out on track
Car clinics - learn how to set up your car for the track & get the low down on diagnostic tools
Cars for sale area - bring yours along
Our Rolls Royce track day car will have a roof chop live!
Add this to the all-day track action, Hot Rod burnouts, Tractor Pullers, Off Road Buggies, Autotest, Rolling Road, car clubs & Autojumble.
PPC at Mallory Park is officially petrolhead heaven, hosted by the only car magazine that combines affordable performance cars with practical advice. Camping is available - for more information about the event visit www.ppcmag.co.uk.
If you can’t wait until the weekend for more, then visit the advert spoofs on You Tube – they will make you laugh:

If any of you fancy taking your cars to this please let me know or have a chat with Jerry Cookson who will hopefully be making it to the AGM.
The AGM and Dinner/Dance is coming up soon, 13th November, so if you have any matters to raise then please contact me and I will put a list together.
Action required so far is the voting for a new Chairman, which I have put myself up for (duh!) and possibly an Events Manager, Finance Manager and Pit Manager to keep score etc, all to vote for.
The Supercharged Outlaws were out in style at the Hot Rod Drags thanks to Shakespeare County Raceway.
9 teams entered with the championship waiting.
Roy Wilding in his bright new Chariot of Fire nostalgia slingshot made a few check out passes but had a problem with the fuel system which Roy will soon sort and should set some great times looking at the quality of the car.
6 personal bests were run with Richard Davies running a 9.757 and taking 1st place for the weekend.
Ian Hanson ran a storming 7.293 which is a NEW class record and came in 2nd place with an extra trophy for quickest of the weekend driving his Corvette, what a great car that is.
Paul Watts roared into 3rd place with the No Easy Pick up and is probably still roaring but with delight as he has officially won the Championship, well deserved Paul, congratulations.
Sam Freeman driving Vic Hammonds Speed Demon ran a PB of 7.616 also taking the quickest reaction prize for a .004 off the tree, not bad for a man of his age (grin)
Lee Gallimoare in the oh so shiny Red Mist Altered ran a smashing PB of 7.301 and the usual long smokey burn-outs.
Mark Windridge took his turn in the Team Thing Plymouth Altered running nice burn-outs AND a PB of 8.388, soon wil be in the 7s.
Brian Gandy has established himself yet again running yet another PB of 7.468 in his lovely Altered.
Steve Goode drove his super Funny Car Ghost Train with a lovely strong burn-out but unfortunately I have no further info.
Many heartfelt thanks to all of the Supercharged Outlaws for putting on another fantastic show and also the same for all of the Sponsors;
